Reception Information:

Check-in is normally after 12 midday but if you arrive earlier and your room is ready you may check-in, or you are welcome to leave your bags and pick up your room key. For the consideration of other guests, check-in time is strictly between 12 midday and 6pm unless prior arrangements are made.

Local Attractions:

Walk around historic Battery Point and be sure to take in Arthur’s Circus and Kelly’s Steps. A must see is the Hobart waterfront area with it’s many restaurants, cafes and pubs, craft and art galleries, the Maritime Museum and Salamanca Place. Make sure you take in the sights and sounds of Hobart’s famous Salamanca Market, every Saturday morning, year round.

Visit the Cascade Brewery, a must for beer lovers and the Hobart Botanical Gardens is well worth a visit for the gardener.

Tasmania has more colonial era building than any other State in Australia and Hobart has some of the best. When walking around the streets of Hobart, be sure to look up and take in these beautiful buildings. The Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory no longer runs tours, but the factory shop is well worth a visit for discount chocolate and to watch a film of the chocolate making process.

Drive to the summit of Mt Wellington for spectacular views. Huon Valley day trip – Hastings caves and the Forest Air-Walk. Take a day to visit the world famous convict site of Port Arthur. Tasmania’s most popular tourist attraction.

Getting There:

Orana House is an easy 15 minute drive from the Hobart International Airport. Just off the East Derwent Highway in Lindisfarne, we are only 7 minutes from the Hobatrt CBD.
