Cancellation Policy: When you book with us, we hold the cottage for you exclusively. Therefore, unfortunately if you cancel we may have to charge you. * Over 1 month in advance – full deposit refunded * Less than 1 month but more than 7 days – Forfeit 50% deposit (if unable to fill date). * Less than 7 days – Forfeits total cost of reserved services (if unable to fill date). * No Show – Forfeits total amount due either by keeping monies collected or debiting of credit card by details submitted.

Administration policy on refunds: There is a 10% cancellation fee on the booking amount charged by BookTasmaniaAccommodation on all cancellations

Wander through our private orchard, pick the organic fruits when in season…apples, pears, plums, cherries, berries or just sit and watch the boats and rowers out on the river. The view (pictured opposite) from the seat just above the orchard looks all the way to the Sleeping Beauty range which is often covered in snow.

Some of the local attractions to be enjoyed: · Apple, Pear and Cherry Orchards. This is the area that gave Tasmania the name 'The Apple Isle'. · Tahune Air Walk (Tree Top Walk) 35 minutes from Kay Creek Cottage. · Magnificent waterways that rival the best in the world. River cruises available or an exciting ride on the Huon Jet Boat · Hartz Mountains National Park. · The Huon Valley has many bush walks for both beginners and experienced walkers. · Trout fishing. · Day trip to Bruny Island · Local wineries include Home Hill Winery and Restaurant - only 10 minutes away. Rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the best in Tasmania. · At Glazier's Bay across the river, is Panorama Wines famous for their superb Pinot Noir. · Mystery Creek Glow Worm Cave · Ida Bay Railway · We are also fortunate in having nearby several excellent a la carte restaurants, only 5-15 minutes drive from the cottage, plus a host of cafes and bakeries if one is looking for something a little more casual.

Getting There:

Leave Hobart on the Huon Highway (A6) and head for Huonville in the Huon Valley. After an easy 30 minute drive you'll reach Huonville. Franklin is just 8 km further on. Upon leaving Franklin town centre the first street on your right is Kay Street. Head up Kay Street 200 metres and you're here.
