Description:

Apple Tree Cottage is a quaint little worker's cottage built in the 1860's which has now been converted into comfortable and cosy guest accommodation. The cottage has two queen bedrooms, open plan lounge with a convenient gas log fire and a modern kitchen/dining area, new bathroom and separate toilet. After a busy day experiencing the delights of the Meander Valley relax on the back verandah and enjoy the leafy cottage garden with lovely old apple trees and giant bay tree.

All rates include homebaked "goodies" upon arrival and provisions for a full breakfast: bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, cereals, juice, tea, plunger coffee, breads, spreads and homemade jams. Your breakfast provisions are replenished daily.

Facilities include TV, DVD player, radio/CD, courtyard BBQ, off-street parking and phone with dial-up internet connection. We are a strictly non-smoking establishment.

Reception Information:

Check in time is from 3.00pm. Reception is on the corner of William and King Streets, Westbury. Simply come into reception and pick up the phone. It will dial us automatically and we will normally be with you within a couple of minutes. If arriving after 8pm please phone ahead on the day on Freecall 1800 244 662.

TO WESTBURY FROM LAUNCESTON Via Bass Highway: Take the B72 exit at Tasmanian Alkaloids and turn left. Continue past Culzean gardens, over the railway line and onto the town's main intersection with B54. This intersection has a Service Station on one corner, a Pub (Hotel) on another and a beautiful stone church on the corners of William Street. Drive over the intersection and continue down William Street, past the Supermarket and Post Office. The Westbury Gingerbread Cottages are just before the next intersection, on the right hand corner. Via Hadspen, Carrick and Hagley on B54: If you choose to travel West from Launceston on the old picturesque highway (B54), continue into the township on the old Meander Valley Road until you reach the town's main intersection. This intersection has a Service Station on one corner, a Pub (Hotel) on another and a beautiful stone church on the opposite corner. Turn left here, into William Street. Continue down William Street, past the Supermarket and Post Office. The Westbury Gingerbread Cottages are just before the next intersection, on the right hand corner. TO WESTBURY FROM DEVONPORT Via Bass Highway: It is a 40 minute drive South East from Devonport. You will take the Bass Highway exit (B72) at Tasmanian Alkaloids and turn right. Continue past Culzean gardens, over the railway line and onto the town's main intersection with B54. This intersection has a Service Station on one corner, a Pub (Hotel) on another and a beautiful stone church on the corners of William Street. Via Deloraine and Exton on B54: If you approach Westbury from the West on the picturesque old highway, cross over the bridge into the township. Take the second turning on the right at the intersection with the Service Station, stone church and Pub (Hotel). Turn right at this intersection and continue down William Street, past the Supermarket and Post Office. The Westbury Gingerbread Cottages are just before the next intersection, on the right hand corner.
