Lovely 3 br historic farm cottage. Suitable for families and travelling groups. The house is situated on the brae overlooking the river towards Ben Lomond and Beauty Point. The views are gorgeous. The farm is bordered by the river. You can take a bush walk, wander the farm or look for fossils and petrified wood on the beach. We are happy for you to join in farm chores if you wish. Bonny Brae breeds hormone and chemical free Angus cattle. We have horses, chickens, turkeys, sheep, cattle and a dog who loves children. Included in the tariff is a delicious breakfast basket of local foods, fresh farm eggs and home made jam.

Bonny Brae Farm is 8 kms north of Beaconsfield in the beautiful Tamar Valley, just 50 minutes from Launceston. Centrally located for easy day trips you can easily spend at least a week and not see all the sites in the Valley and beyond.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:

Well behaved children always welcome and catered for. Children must always be accompanied by an adult when wandering the farm.

Car Parking:

Parking is next to the cottage or you can use the garage. Parking is safe.

Things to do:

Bush and farm walks, beach walks, feed the animals and chickens, help with feeding the cattle, raid the vegetable garden (in season), sit on the verandah and enjoy the views or lounge by the fire when the weather is cool.

Local Attractions:

Bonny Brae is central to vineyards, orchards, (Olives, apples, cherries and berries). Greens Beach is beautiful, clean and safe for swimming and children to frolic. Beauty Point houes the famous Seahorse World and Beaconsfield Mine Museum is a must see. The lovely Natawantapu National Park houses colonies of walabies, potaroos, wombats, possums and other animals. They are all easily seen at dusk and dawn. Fishing is good off Clarence Point Pontoon.

Getting There:

Travel to Beaconsfield on the West Tamar Highway. Pass through Beaconsfield and just past the service station take the road to the left towards Greens Beach and Kelso. Travel 8 kms to the Clarence Point intersection. Turn right into Clarence Point Road. The entry to the farm is the first gate on your Right. Drive into the farm and take the left track towards the cottage.
