Kelleher's Cottage is an historic house, 6 rooms single storey, about 14 metres by 10 metres, built of sandstone in 1835, on a large level block in a back street of historic rural Hamilton, with an outlook over farm land to hills and distant mountains.

Substantial renovation has recently been completed and a new garden has been commenced.

The cottage is now sunny, warm, clean and attractively set up as a self contained holiday home, fully furnished and equipped for comfortable visitor accommodation for days at a time.

Room Information:

Two bedrooms both have queen sized beds and all linen. All rooms have electric heating, one bedroom has a wood heater as well and the other has an external door to the court-yard. The lounge room has a TV and another wood heater, a separate dining room also has a writing desk and telephone. The kitchen and bathroom have been attractively modernized, facing the view to the north they are sunny and warm. An original flagstone floor in the kitchen is a special feature. The kitchen is a good size and fully equipped for preparing meals, It is fitted with a gas stove, microwave oven, a small fridge, clothes washer, jug, toaster, pots pans and crockery and more. The bathroom has a deep bath with shower over, a big sink, a modern wc. and a big pile of towels. Our service offers the whole cottage, already well provisioned for 'make your own' breakfast; and with basics for preparing other meals in the freezer, fridge, cupboards and drawers; as well there are materials and equipment for washing up and laundry.
