Hamilton Heritage Holiday Homes is the name of the Accommodation Department at Jackson’s Emporium at 13 Franklin Place Hamilton, Tasmania.

Jackson’s Emporium specialises in Derwent Valley products and visitor services. As well as accommodation this also includes food, wine, massage, internet and business services; Tasmanian art timber and local burl polishing is a feature.

Our four accommodation properties are unique private houses around the Historic Township. Each has its own heritage character and particular appeal.

All are clean, well equipped for all season comfort and convenient self catering and are child and pet friendly.

All include generous breakfast, laundry and other provisioning.

All are suitable for an overnight or longer stay for couples or families or groups visiting southern Tasmania.

Most of central and southern Tasmania is within 90 minutes driving from Hamilton

Bonnie Brae Lodge is a classic 4 bedroom single storey federation era house, built of timber and sandstone in 1905, on a large gently sloping block with a wide outlook over farm land to St Peter's Church (c1834), hills and distant mountains. Substantial refurbishing has recently been completed. The house is sunny, warm, attractive and practically set up as a self contained holiday home for up to 10 people. It is let in advance as a single unit or on standby as single rooms. Two bedrooms have queen sized beds, one has twin single beds and the fourth has two sets of bunks. The 270 degree view is a special feature. The four separate bedrooms, large outdoor entertaining area and level access are especially appreciated by larger families and groups.

Perhaps a bigger house than most groups of 3 need, but if you all want a separate bedroom, Bonnie Brae Lodge is a spacious option.

McCauley’s is a 200 sq metre historic house which can comfortably accommodate a group of up to 7 people (plus cot) in 2 1/2 bedrooms. Three separate living rooms give space and privacy for larger families. The main bedroom, on the ground floor, has (an antique iron) double bed. Upstairs the large divided attic has a queen size bed plus 3 singles and more living space (with a second TV). Special features abound: ~ hot super efficient Rumford open fireplaces ~ beautiful old blackwood, cedar and baltic pine paneling, stairs, doors and floors ~ deep clawfoot bath, disabled access bathroom ~ attractive antique furniture ~ herbs, vegies, fruit and flowers from the garden
