Cleanliness Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick

Overall, a very pleasing holiday. The venison roast was ample and very tasty, we ate Jim's venison kranskies for the next two nights which were also delicious. Jim and Marilyn are friendly and full of local knowledge and tales. It was very peaceful, and while the accommodation may appear by some standards to be somewhat humble, everything was in good working order and clean. The only comment that we would like to make is that the cottage had, at the time of our visit, no curtains, which is something we are not personally used to. Despite this, I am sure that the slope of the hill meant our privacy was maintained, although it did mean it was hard to keep the cottage heated when it was cold (again, probably by mainland standards) outside. The farm was easy to find, the roads very accessible by two wheel drive. A great base for Cradle Mountain and Walls of Jerusalem. The deer, which nibble around the cottage at night, are actually noisier than I expected, but you soon get used to them. It was a novelty to see them so close, my 8 year old particularly liked them!! I would book this accommodation again, it is very good value. - Monica, Brett and Wolfgang
