Stay in one of eight pavilions dedicated to Australian artists and architects who have influenced MONA. They are bold and elegant in design and feature bespoke furniture by Tasmanian designers, along with a who’s who in international furniture pieces.

Three are glass cubes that appear balanced in the landscape; one is a three-storey diamond shaped building enclosed in a silver metallic skin; and the remaining four cantilever over the river bank. You can choose from one or two bedroom configurations.
All pavilions offer spa bath and king-size bed.
Guests also have access to the sauna, gymnasium and heated lap pool.

Please note that from Tuesday the 26th of July and for every Tuesday onwards the Mona gallery and it’s services on site will be closed, however breakfast will be available in The Source restaurant for our pavilion guests and alternate dining options for dinner will also be available.

Marakoopa Cave Mole Creek

Visit the spectacular Marakoopa Cave

Mole Creek is a little town of about 250 people with an economy mainly revolving around forestry and timber, agriculture and tourism. The town takes its name from the habit of the local creek of disappearing underground and reappearing after travelling some distance underground.

Mole Creek is well known for its honey and accounts for about 35 percent of Tasmania’s honey production including Leatherwood Honey  which is unique to Tasmania and sold internationally.

Mole Creek Karst National Park is also nearby, including the famous caves – Marakoopa Cave and King Solomons Cave, which have been popular with tourists for many years. There are also walking trails to spectacular lookouts such as Alum Cliffs and Devils Gullet and much, much more.

Mole Creek has everything you need for a long or short stay – great food, cosy accommodation and friendly hospitality.

Self Contained accommodation in Mole Creek for a couple can be found here at Old Wesley Dale Heritage Accommodation or for family accommodation see Mole Creek Holiday Village.

In January 2011 David Walsh launched his now infamous Museum of Old and New Art commonly referred to as MONA. This is a Hobart art gallery with a huge difference and a breath of fresh air making Tasmania’s capital an even more attractive place to come and visit. David Walsh, who has made a fortune with different gambling systems, has created an awe inspiring place that excites, shocks and amuses in equal measures. With over $100m of art this is an absolute must see around Hobart.

Here at Book Tasmania Accommodation we provide a number of Tasmania tours for you to fill your days with on your Tasmania holiday. One of the most popular Tasmania activities is the Mount Wellington Cycle Descent tour based out of Hobart. The tour only lasts 2.5 hours but don’t be fooled, this is one of the most exhilarating 2.5 hours possible in your Tasmania holiday.

They say what goes up must come down but when you book this tour you don’t even need to go up whatsoever. The staff who run this tour make your life easy by picking you up from your Hobart accommodation or Hobart hotel in the morning. You’ll soon be driven in a minibus to the top of the Mountain standing at 1270 metres. Then all you have to do is the easy fun part of riding down the mountain.

NB: a word of warning – as you would imagine it gets quite cold at the top of MT Wellington so bring some gloves for a firm grip on your handlebars and a jacket to keep warm.

For the more adventurous cyclist you have the option of getting the adrenalin going by tackling a fairly steep downhill off-road section.

On the way down you’ll go past the famous Cascade Brewery. From personal experience I can tell you this is one of the most fun Tasmania day tours you could ever imagine. For more Tasmania tours simply click the hyperlink.
